RASIONALITAS MAHASISWA DALAM MENGGUNAKAN HAK PILIH PADA PEMILIHAN UMUM 2024

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the rationality of Bhinneka PGRI Tulungagung University students in the 2024 elections. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach with percentages. The number of samples in this study were 15% of respondents from the population, namely students of the Economics Education Study Program who used their voting rights in the 2024 elections, totaling 348. The theory used in this study is to use the theory of social action put forward by Max Weber. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. The results showed that regarding the rationality of students in choosing prospective leaders, it was found that instrumental rationality and value were the main considerations. Most respondents (40.4%) chose based on the direct benefits of the candidate leader's work program, while 53.8% assessed the suitability of the program with the values and principles adopted.
