Abstract

Gender inequality in education at madrasahs is a complex issue that affects the quality and access to learning opportunities for students. This study aims to analyze the forms of gender inequality occurring in madrasah environments, focusing on policies, curriculum, teacher roles, and interactions between male and female students. Using a qualitative approach, this research explores the experiences and perceptions of students, teachers, and relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that while madrasahs formally support educational equality, there are hidden barriers that impact the participation and development of female students. Factors such as gender stereotypes, the division of domestic roles, and societal expectations reinforce these inequalities. The study concludes that policy reforms and increased awareness of the importance of gender equality in madrasahs are necessary to make education more inclusive and fair for all students, regardless of gender.
